Nofollow lets webmasters tell search engines not to follow the links on that page or not to follow that specific link. You would want to use this if you are linking to external pages that you don’t want to endorse, but you would not want to use this for internal page links on your site.


SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page. When you go to a search engine (i.e. Google) and search for what you’re looking for that day, that results page is the SERP.


A sitemap is a list of the pages on your site. Having a sitemap of your site makes it easier for search engines to crawl your website.

Title Tag

A title tag, or page title, represents the page’s title. This is placed in the code on the back end of your site and is seen by the public in the tabs used in their browsers or in the headline of search results.
